A bit of journalling

I'm drowning in my work for the moment, so there is no time for crafting. At least I was able to do a bit of drawing in my journal... Mmm, selfportrait turned out a bit creepy, more of that later in the year!

My little loves

When I read the story about Carrie and the loss of her baby daughter May, I was really touched. So I kept reading her (lovely) blog and decided to make something when I read this.
I knitted this baby hat. Ooh, it was a long time ago that I knitted something so small!

And I couldn't resist making a little something for Carries lovely daughter Nissa: a felted rabbit. I really hope she will like it!

Pay it forward

Finally I can show a picture of what I've been doing lately: knitting mittens for Koen. It's the first thing I made for this swap game. Now I can start thinking about the second present I have to make.
There is still one person who can join, if you give a comment on the "Pay it forward" post of 11/11/07, I send you something handmade!

A strange day!

We had a lot of commotion at our house today, we had a chimney fire!
The firemen (about 15 of them!) arrived 10 minutes after we had called them, and an hour later everything was allright again and we could start to clean the house. But there was no damage, only a lot of dirt from the garden, because everybody was running in and out and removing furniture.

For once, I was really happy with our rainy climate, our thatched roof was too damp to catch fire immediately.

As you can see, it gave me some inspiration for my drawing of today...and no, I didn't make the drawing you see above here, I found it in a little golden book.

Droodles and failures

Oh well, not quite good, but I publish these droodles anyway... It is so hard to draw a cat that is not sleeping! Maybe I will get better in 2008, that is what I want to prove to myself .

-become a more self-confident cook
-read a lot of books
-travel around Europe

2008 in drawings

I got a bit bored with my project of drawing a theme every week, so I decided to start something new: make a drawing every day, doesn't matter what, it can be something I did that day, or just an altered magazine clipping, ...
And that is my resolution for 2008: draw something every day!

Some pages of "my week of drawing..." of last year, which I didn't post yet:
people

and hands.
