Cat & mouse

Ooh, it has been a long time...
My laundry bag is finished, I use it for my stray socks (know the problem?).

I'm always stunned by the beauty of Mrs. Potter's watercolours, and I have quite a few projects in mind, featuring her characters.

From now on, I will post a monthly update of my cross-stitched cat. I want to use it for a pillow, when finished.

In the meanwhile, summer has arrived. I try to enjoy it as much as possible, although I have a lot of computer work at the moment.
And that means:
having tea and cake and cherries in the garden,

walking barefoot,

and admire the flowers from my garden.

I loved everything - love the finished laundry bag - (actually I "covet" it) and the beginning of you cat pillow. I'm a cat lady myself. I had my first fresh cherry of the season as my sister-in-law's this afternoon - delish. And of course - one of my favorite flowers - peony

The cat is looking very good, I like the progress. I too love Beatrice Potter, all her illustrations are so delicate.
Working outside is the best place to be in this weather-if at all possible!

I love the name of your blog - I have a cat and I quilt -- couldn't have one without the other! You may already know this but if you love Beatrix Potter you must see the movie, Miss Potter -- you'll love her work even more.

That little mouse is just adorable - I just love this! I cannot even imagine the work that goes into your masterpice stitches. When you finish the cat sampler - we must see it - I am in love with that one too!
