For the first time in months, it would be a quiet weekend without visits, parties, etc... But fate decided otherwise: my poor son was taken into hospital and had his appendix removed last night. So after this blog update, I'm off to the hospital again, and I'm taking my knitting needles and a new pattern for me and some DVD's for him.
My granny blanket isn't finished yet (all the loose ends, sigh...), but already in use.
In the meanwhile, spring is starting to show off, flowers and buds and birds.
And this is something I want to finish very badly, one day this little mouse will be used on a laundry bag I have in mind.

What a scare that must have been... so far and away from a quiet weekend.
I am sending wishes for a gentle and speedy recovery.
Oh my...what a scary weekend you must have had my dear! I wish all the best for your son and a speedy recovery!
I hope your son gets better soon-I had mine removed when I was 10-and got lots of attention!

Prayers for you!!!
She is the perfect mouse for a laundry bag.
Scary for all concerned, hope all is well over the long haul. Your cat is beautiful. And the granny blanket too. Looks like you had an eventful weekend. Your mouse will be done soon. It's not like you didn't have a few things to take care of.
Sabine - My very best wishes for your son's quick recovery! You will certainly need those knitting needles as you are sitting by his bedside at the hospital!
On a much lighter note - I LOVE your new header picture - your cat is beautiful and the pictures are just awsome!
