My May garden

...is always overwhelming me a bit. Everything is growing so fast, especially all the different weeds!
I try to keep up the work around the house, but yesterday, I went into the wood behind our house with some visitors and their kids, and to be honest, I was a bit shocked. There were parts where you couldn't come, because of the abundance of young trees and bramble bushes... quite a jungle!
I will take pictures, but not for now...
This is the more civilised part of the garden:

And the irises around the pond look great:

And I found the time to make this cross stitch patch, to mend a kitchen towel. Ah, if only a day counted 48 hours!

I enjoy seeing your garden Sabine as your situation (in a wood) is like my own. We have the same irisis. The huge bearded ones are gorgeous but need more sun and less rain so I have to content myself with the Sibirica type and they are lovely. Thank goodness they like damp situations (look nice with seed pods also!) Hope you have a sunny weekend in your pretty garden. Eli

Your garden is beautiful! I am so envious - we dont get a lot of rain and with water restrictions my garden is rarely green. Makes gardening an interesting challenge, though.

What a beautiful house and garden!
Like you I'm always amazed at the speed at which things grow in May. It's a big jungle of flowers in my garden right now.

Your irises are beautiful, and all your embroideries are so sweet.
