I was searching for a nice project for my holiday weeks, and since I like to crochet in the car (no, I am not the driver!), I started a new ripple blanket. This time in cotton.
My son is going to study in a city far away (sigh!), and I'm making this blanket for him.
I took these pictures in the garden of our rented farmhouse in France, it was lovely to sit under the appletree...
In France, you find a lot of craft books, and I bought this lovely little book. Included were a needle, linen and embroidery floss.
I already started making something, but more about that in a new post.

I've been thinking about it, but you have inspired me to take the first step... I am going to figure out how to crochet a ripple blanket. It is crochet, I hope. Yours is beautiful.
What a beautiful ripple blanket-such a lovely combination of colours. How wonderful to sit under an apple tree in France and crochet!-sigh!-
That is beautiful. My sister has offferd many times to show me how. But I was fixated on the granny squareand never took her up on it. But yours has made me think differently. I love the cotton, I'm so lame I would have never thought of it duh :)
I think I'll finally take the crochet plunge! They have a class starting up in September....thanks for the motivation!!
