A sad day

Tuesday was a terrible day, we had to go to the veterinary with our oldest cat. And we had to put him to sleep...
After a long and happy life of almost 20 years.
I know this is exceptionally old for a cat, but still...
This is the last picture I took of him, resting in the shade.

And this one was taken when he was still very fit and strong. At the end, he wasn't able to jump anymore, and almost blind.

I am SO sorry. Being a cat lover myself I do so understand your pain over this. They become one of our children don't they? So sorry.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Cats do become like members of the family and their loss is very painful. In time you will remember all the joy your cat brought you and remember the cat with fondness and not just sadness.

Sabine- I am so sorry - so very sorry. We love our kitties so very much at our house and I have totally been where you are now. I know you think your heart is just going to bust from the ache----

I know you will always have a special place in your heart for this beautiful kitty-- she was lucky to have you to love her for all those years ---- but I know it hurts- after almost 4 years- it still hurts in my heart too.
