More embroidery

I managed to finish these today, ready to use for my quilt.

And no, this is not a piece of conceptual art, it's how the box with my embroidery thread looks like. That is how I left it when I was about twelve years old, after a few attempts at embroidery. Now I am trying to use this thread for Lucy's quilt, I can not throw it away!

I don't know why I can't see the pictures but I'm sure your work is lovely. I'm certain of it!
I will definitely try again later. I'm dying to see what you're working on.

Sabine! You need to sort through the birds nest of thread! I would do it for you -I love that kind of thing - but I think you're a long drive from my house in Sydney...

hi- i like the novel look to the embroidered designs on the quilt- did you hand draw the design to the fabric or is this an iron on. please advise. amy

I drew the designs by hand on the fabric with a pencil.
I found the designs in this book: "Cute japanese embroidery", and I bought it here:

A great book, and a very nice seller.
