Started a New sweater on X-mas day, with Felted Tweed yarn from Rowan. A pleasure to knit with!
This is a free pattern, found on the Rowan website.

A bit of sewing
Yesterday evening, I finally found the courage to work on Lucy's quilt. I don't dare to look up how long that has been...
First time I'm using my Cath Kidston sewing basket!
And now I'm sitting in the September sun, sewing, sipping coffee. What more does one need?

At the seaside
I've discovered Blogger in the App-store.
After a too long period of all work and no play, I'm on a crafting break.

Fair Isle Knitting
Oh my, it's been sooo long, I've completely forgotten how to use Blogger. Everything has changed...
But I'll give it a try.
Have been overwhelmed with computer work, but still found the time to follow a knitting course. I finally learned how to knit Fair Isle, with one colour in each hand.
Knitting with my left hand was a bit awkward in the beginning, but now I really wonder how I managed before...

My first real blog post in 2012...
I finished this crocheted blanket already in January, but there were a lot of blogging obstacles, no time, not really in the mood, etc... Hope this will be a fresh start of a new blogging year! No more excuses!
And no, this blanket is not meant for the cat, my daughter has taken it to her student room.

Granny squares
I really wanted something to do while watching television, or while sitting in the car or on the train, a project to fit in my handbag. And what is more suitable then crocheting little blocks for a granny blanket? Lots of inspiration on other blogs, and this blanket really took my attention.
Not the same pattern, but the variations are endless, of course.
My daughter is studying in another city now, so she was in need for a blanket for her student room.
And I had an excuse to make yet another crocheted blanket...
I already jointed all the blocks (no pictures yet), and all the loose ends still need weaving in, least pleasant part of the job...

A sad day
Tuesday was a terrible day, we had to go to the veterinary with our oldest cat. And we had to put him to sleep...
After a long and happy life of almost 20 years.
I know this is exceptionally old for a cat, but still...
This is the last picture I took of him, resting in the shade.
And this one was taken when he was still very fit and strong. At the end, he wasn't able to jump anymore, and almost blind.
